Richard Dale Warren, 62, of Pana passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born May 19, 1957, the son of Richard and Shirley (Tappero) Warren.

Dale was a farmer, avid outdoorsman, fisherman and a very talented artist in which his vision came to life through his chainsaw carvings. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, family and friends and had the skill to catch the “big fish”. One of his greatest joys was to take a friend fishing and giving them their first experience of catching a big fish. He spoiled his family and friends by cooking the best tasting fish ever. He lived most of his life on the Warren Farm - Warren’s Grove, where he loved, respected, and enjoyed the timber and wildlife. He lived life simple and had a heart of gold.

Dale is survived by the love of his life, Mary E. Rhodes, Pana, Ill.; son Eric (Melena) Warren, Pana, Ill.: grandsons; Lane and Ryan Warren, Jordan E. Rhodes (Cory D. Virden) whom he loved as his own; sister Willow (Andy) Warren Paterson of Perth Australia; nieces: Jasmine (Brett) Earl, Hayley Paterson, Kyle (Anna) Paterson and great nieces and nephews all of Perth, Australia, and other family and friends who loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Shirley Warren and a son, Louie Lee.

A memorial service for Dale will be held Friday, December 20, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
