Louis A. Miloncus, Sr. 64, of Springfield, Ill. passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Louis was born on April 4, 1956 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Ill. the son of Joseph W. Miloncus, Sr. and Imogene (Bottoms) Miloncus. His family resided in Bulpitt, Ill. when he was a child later moving to a home in Springfield. They returned to Bulpitt where Louis graduated from Kincaid South Fork High School in 1975. After his graduation from an Electrical Trade School in Chicago, Ill. he lived and worked in Springfield, Ill. at various jobs. Most recently he was employed as a maintenance (Project 2) worker at St. Francis Convent, Springfield. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Springfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed drawing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
Louis is survived by his wife, Susann M. Miloncus, son, Louis A Miloncus II, daughter Amanda Miloncus all of Springfield: brothers, Paul (Nancy) Miloncus of Taylorville, Michael (Jeannette) Miloncus of Taylorville, Joseph W. (Roxanne) Miloncus Jr. of Edinburg and Samuel J. Miloncus of Kincaid; sister Julie A. (Miloncus) husband Larry Pearson of Taylorville; seven grandchildren several aunts and uncles many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 4 aunts, 3 uncles and son Michael
A private funeral service for the family will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday May 20, 2020 at Boardman Smith Funeral Home, Springfield, Ill. with cremation services provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A graveside service is planned for June 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. for those wishing to attend and pay their respects.
