Amy Marie Wyant, 28, of Witt, IL, formerly of Graymont, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 1:51 p.m. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. After a long, courageous fight, she lost her second battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 10, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac, Ill. with Father David Sabel and Father Adam Cesarek officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pontiac, Ill.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2020, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with a Rosary to be recited at 12:30 p.m.

Amy was born October 11, 1991, in Pontiac, Ill. to Michael and Mary Follmer, who survive in Graymont, Ill. She married Travis Wyant on April 11, 2015. Amy was a very loving wife and best friend to her husband, Travis, throughout the 12 years they were together. He survives in Witt, Ill.
Also surviving are her brother, Brad (Ashley) Follmer of Pontiac, Ill.; sister, Abby (Vincent) Hobart of Pontiac, Ill.; sister-in-law, Amy Wyant of Murphysboro, Ill.; nephew and niece, Jonathan Follmer and Olivia Follmer; and her beloved dogs, Copper and Jed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Amy attended Graymont Grade School and was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School, Class of 2010. She attended Joliet Junior College and later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Communications from Illinois State University. She worked for the Regional Office of Education as a Parent Educator in Taylorville, Ill. and was greatly loved and admired by all the families she worked with.
Amy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac, Ill. She enjoyed cooking and organizing fabulous parties. She was a great friend to many and was known for her sense of humor. She had a big heart and could light up a room with her laugh and smile.
