Sheila J. “Shay” Cearlock, 79, of Nokomis, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in her home in rural Audubon Township.
She was born February 8, 1941 in Pana to the late William Albert “Sug” Redman, Sr. & Oma “Dot” (Taylor) Redman.
Sheila was a graduate of Pana High School, Class of 1958. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pana, where she was a member of prayer partners. Sheila was a person of deep faith and she loved the Lord. She loved nature and having lunch and shopping with her sissy and friends.
Sheila married Larry “Lippy” Cearlock on March 21, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nev. and he survives in Nokomis. They enjoyed 33+ years together, traveling extensively throughout the United States and 13 cruises to many beautiful destinations.
Sheila is also survived by her sister, Debra Sue “Sissy” Redman, University City, Mo.; step-children: Kim Noyes, Hillsboro, Ill.; Kristy (Brian) Hayes, Nokomis, Ill.; Kelly (Jamie) Cearlock, Taylorville, Ill.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Stephanie “Jill” (Kenneth) Davis, Mt. Zion, Ill.; three great-nieces; sister-in-law, Marcia (Earl) Alexander, Nokomis, Ill. and many good friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Jean Redman and step-son-in-law, Bob Noyes.
A graveside service for Sheila will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Nokomis Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Amanda Richards officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Nokomis Cemetery.
