Brian Matthew Diss, 39, passed away at home on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee.
Brian was born on October 27, 1980 in Springfield, Ill. to James and Janet Diss, and was the youngest of four children.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Diss; his grandparents, William and Helen Fleming, Chauncey and Anna Diss, all from Taylorville, Ill.
He was a graduate of Taylorville High School, Class of 1999 and later went on to attend Parkland College in Champaign, Ill.
Brian’s free spirit and sense of adventure allowed him to follow his dreams, to travel to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica and many states throughout the U.S. As Brian always said he felt “blessed and grateful for meeting wonderful people and having the opportunity to live and experience life! Sometimes you just have to follow your heart, don’t be afraid to take a leap of Faith! Follow your dreams and they will come true!”
Brian is survived by his parents; James and Janet Diss of Foley, Ala.; sisters, Michelle (husband Sean and nephew Austin) Grimm, of Villa Grove, Ill.; Shannon (husband William and nephews Jaden and Jackson) Thomas of Villa Grove, Ill. He was further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
