Mary Ellen (Reynolds) Cima, 95, of Taylorville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taylorville, Ill. She was born on June 22, 1925, the daughter of Laura (Gordon) and Emerson Reynolds in Whitley County, Kentucky. She married Mark J.R. Meadows in Campbell County, Tennessee, on May 31, 1941. They had three children, Donnie, Brenda and Michael, who died in infancy. They divorced and she later married Tom Cima, of Kincaid, Ill., on November 9, 1963; he preceded her in death on January 30, 1999. Mary was a homemaker most of her lifetime but also worked in various areas of employment including the Cardinal factory, the State of Illinois, Senior Citizens/Meals on Wheels in Kincaid, Ill., and had her own bar/restaurant, Mary's Place, in Langleyville, Ill. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Kincaid for many years, golfed in ladies' leagues at Lakeshore Golf Course in Taylorville, bowled in ladies' leagues, played bocce ball and participated in the State Fair tournaments, loved to shop, lunch, have drinks with friends, cook and spend time with her family. Many winters were spent enjoying the good life as a "snow bird" with her husband, Tom, in Punta Gorda, Florida. Friends, family and acquaintances have noted she was a favorite of theirs, described as friendly, nice, sweet, fun, funny and always had a warm smile.

Mary is survived and will be sadly missed by a son, Donnie (Betty) Meadows of Taylorville, Ill., daughter, Brenda Meadows Siegrist of Taylorville, seven grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, young brother, John Reynolds, step-mother, Sue Reynolds, step-sister, Rose Belle Woods, several nephews, both husbands and infant son.

A private family memorial will be held at a future date.
