Gary Lynn Frost, 65 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:35 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill.
He was born on September 10, 1955 in Taylorville, Ill. the son of Reva Blaine Frost and Kathleen (Champley) McNeil. He married Connie Gill in 2001 and she preceded him in death in May of 2014 he then married Donna Podeschi-Kovack in June of 2019. Gary was a member of the Taylorville Knights of Columbus and the Taylorville Moose Lodge #1516. He also served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife: Donna Frost of Taylorville, Ill.; daughters: Beverly (Jim) Quinn of Springfield, Ill.; Jackie (Tony) Walker of Decatur, Ill.; Valerie (Brian) Fox of Springfield, Mo.; sons: Gregory Frost of Taylorville, Ill.; Jeremy (Brandi) Frost of Glen Carbon, Ill.; Jarrod (Tara) Frost of Bradenton, Fla.; Jeff (Shannon) Kovack of Taylorville, Ill.; Brad (Taylor) Kovack of Heyworth, Ill.; grandchildren: Preston, Colton, Nolan, Blake and Lane Frost; Ila Fox; Jamie (Sean) Diehl; Erin Quinn, Kayla and T.J. Walker and two on the way; great-grandchild: Reagan Diehl; sister: Carol Dunkel of Taylorville, Ill.; brothers: Ron Frost of Thomaston, Ga.; Jack Frost of West Frankfort, Ill. and Kevin Frost of Bradenton, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Connie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Ill.
