Mary Alice Workman, 98, of Assumption, died January 27, 2021 in Eastern Star Home, Macon, Ill.
Private family services will be held in First United Methodist Church, Assumption, Ill. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, Ill.
Mary Alice was born April 3, 1922 in Decatur, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Myrtle (Bechtel) Poteet. She married Richard Workman on January 1, 1941 in St. Charles, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2002.
Mary Alice was a member of First United Methodist Church of Assumption, Ill. and Tacusah Chapter OES.
Surviving are her children: son, Kenneth (Judy) Workman of Assumption, Ill. and daughters, Kathleen Coady of Edwardsville, Ill. and Nancy (Michael) Ryan of Taylorville, Ill.; grandchildren: Randy (Sheri) Workman, Kelly (Tom) Bollinger, Curt Coady, Ric (Ed Guedes) Ryan and Shannon (Rodney) Davis; great-grandchildren: Trenee (George) Koch, Ryan (Elizabeth) Workman, Ross (Paige) Workman, Toryn Davis, Griffin and Clark Davis; and great-great-grandchild, Payton Koch.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Richard, parents, four brothers, one sister and great great-grandson, Harrison James Workman.
