William Albert Strumpfer, 67 of Taylorville, passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 in his home.
He was born on January 8, 1954 in Chicago, the son of Stephen and Ruth (Muffick) Strumpfer. William was a veteran of the US Army, a member of American Legion Post #73 and worked as a truck driver for many years. Mr. Strumpfer had a love of life, enjoying rock and roll music, watching movies, and relaxing with friends and family. He even tried sky diving and earned his pilot’s license.
He is survived by his daughter: Jennifer Strumpfer, husband Brendon Swain, of Tucson, Arizona; grandson: Austin Strumpfer; and great-granddaughter: Zoe Guerrero; and brother: Lennard D. Strumpfer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
