PHS Girls Basketball team in transition
Pana High School’s girls head basketball coach Jason Storm doesn’t want to call the 2019-20 season a “rebuilding year.” Rather, the coach, who is starting his sixth season at the helm, wants to refer to it as a “Transition year.”

Defending regional champs who posted a 22-10 mark last season, the team is transitioning from the loss of all conference players Shania Schoonover and Maddie Ashcraft and Katelin Weideman and Bree Rochkes. He said Schoonover and Ashcraft provided much of the scoring and rebound for last year’s squad.

“For losing just four players, we lost quite a bit,” Strom said.
