Ponies spoil Pawnee Homecoming, move to 3 and 1
It was actually the Pawnee Indians who gave South Fork their first taste of eight-man football action. Back in the summer of 2019, South Fork hosted Pawnee for a 7-on-7, which was right as the Indians were transitioning to eight-man football.

Instead of only focusing on what they needed to get done, the Ponies put out an eight-man squad for Pawnee when the Indians were on offense to give them a good look and prepare them for their season.

North Mac caps off comeback win over South Fork
Momentum is such a strange thing in sports. It can come from so many different factors: a deep shot on offense with someone tightly guarding the shooter, someone coming in off of the bench and providing a spark, a big defensive stop, or any other number of other factors.

In basketball, though, momentum can stop with one blow of the whistle.

Nokomis edges South Fork 50-46 in overtime
Usually, time of possession is a stat that is used in football games, not basketball games due to the shot clock. But, in Illinois high school games, there is no shot clock, so teams are able to possess the ball for as long as the defense doesn’t stop them.

That helped the Nokomis Redskins on Thursday night against South Fork as they were able to hang on for the 50-46 victory in overtime.
