Pawnee 1-hits Edinburg, wins 11-0
The Edinburg Wildcats hosted Pawnee on Tuesday night on the baseball diamond. The Wildcats faced off against tough pitching and were only able to get one hit as they fell 11-0.

The Edinburg softball team traveled to the Athens sports complex on Monday to take on the Warriors. The teams were tied at one after the first inning, but Edinburg scored twice in the second inning while Athens got just one and Edinburg would ultimately hang on for the 3-2 win.

Rylie Burney came up in a big time at-bat for the freshman on Tuesday night for Edinburg. The Wildcats were up 10-2 in the bottom of the sixth and the bases were loaded. Burney hit a fly ball to center that fell in and allowed the final two runs to cross the plate as the Wildcats defeated Morrisonville 12-2 in he first Mohawk loss of the year.

Edinburg and North Mac needed extra innings on Tuesday to decide a winner as North Mac scored five runs over the final three innings to tie the game before the Wildcats scored three runs in the ninth to lead 9-6. North Mac was able to score four runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk-off and win 10-6.

Rylie Burney was on the mound for the Wildcat home opener on Monday night. The freshman did the best that she could, but Petersburg PORTA was able to get their hands extended on a couple of pitches that went over the fence as they hit three homeruns en route to their 12-2 win.

It was a close game for a majority of the first quarter, as Edinburg took a 4-0 lead for the first half of the first quarter, but then Lincolnwood got hot from deep. The Lancers ended up winning 60-35.

BUFFALO — The Edinburg Wildcats were on the road as they traveled to face off against the Tri-City Tornadoes on Friday night. After playing a close first quarter, the Buffal Tornadoes were able to take a bigger lead in the second quarter. That then gave them the momentum to carry out through the rest of the game, as the Tornadoes won 67-40.
