Four MJHS Tomahawks named to All-Star team
The Raymond-Lincolnwood junior high volleyball program will host its annual All-Star game once again this season, and four Tomahawks were named to the team.

The Morrisonville Tomahawk volleyball team had a very successful season this year. Not only did they go 20-2 during their season and won their Regional and Sectional, but it was the Tomahawks first State appearance.

Lady Mohawks eyeing deep run in '19
In 2018, the Lady Mohawk softball team secured a regional championship before seeing their season end at sectionals in a 2-0 loss to Toledo-Cumberland.  Toledo Cumberland ended up losing to Windsor Stew-Stras, the team that ultimately took home the state title. Morrisonville, then,  was neck and neck last year with some of the best teams in the state.

Mohawks working to solidify rotation early
Morrisonville Baseball Coach Mark Ferrill is still trying to nail down a go-to pitcher as the new season looms. “I think our biggest unknown is our pitching,” he said. “The majority of our games last year were split between Adam (Deal) and Tanner (Millburg), and that’s hard to replace.”

Big third quarter helps Vandals topple the Lancers
The Mohawk Classic continued on Wednesday night as the Vandalia Vandals and Lincolnwood Lancers faced off on Wednesday. Neither team really had trouble scoring the ball, but Vandalia got a 10-point swing in the third quarter which helped them win 73-59.
