The Mohawks waited more than a year to play a baseball game. They got their first chance on Wednesday at home when they hosted North Mac. Despite holding the Panthers scoreless for the first inning, North Mac got on top 2-0 after the second and scored one in the fourth, one in the fifth, three in the sixth, and two more in the seventh for their nine runs while Morrisonville got just one run in the seventh as they fell 9-1 on opening day. Morrisonville was able to make strong adjustments early in the first set which allowed them to win 25-12. Auburn answered with a 26-24 victory in the second set, but the Mohawks clutched out the victory with a 26-24 win in the third set.
