Persons whose names are drawn must be in attendance.
Starting February 1, 2020 until the end of trapping season on March 31, 2020, the Sangchris Lake site will open to statewide regulations, meaning that any individual with a valid 2019-20 trapping permit who is interested in trapping at the site can do so (beaver, muskrat, and river otter only).

Homemade dog-proof traps must be designed with a foothold trap no larger than a #2 in an enclosed wood, metal, or durable plastic container with a single access opening of no larger than 1 1/2 inches in diameter. All body-gripping traps must be totally submerged.
All persons who are drawn to trap must obtain a free windshield card permit for the site by going online through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources website at this link:www.dnr.illinois.gov/hunting/uplandgame.
Trappers will be required to report harvest/hunter trips at http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/hunting/Pages/WindshieldCard.htm no later than February 15 (or two weeks after the season closes for those seasons ending after February 1).
