Kincaid pair arrested on meth charges appear in court today
The Kincaid Police Department executed a search warrant on a home in the 100 block of Main Street, Kincaid, Friday. They had been investigating this home in regards to drug traffic and have received several complaints from the community. As a result, two people were arrested and charged with Class X felonies in connection with methamphetamine offenses.

Couple charged with stealing youth cheerleading funds
Ramon A. Gutierrez and Sasha L. Gutierrez of Taylorville appeared in Christian County Court today, accused of stealing from the Taylorville Youth Cheerleading Organization. Both are charged with taking between $500 and $10,000 over a four-year period.

Springfield man gets 45 years for attempted murder
TAYLORVILLE - Following a two-hour sentencing hearing Thursday afternoon in the Christian County Courthouse, Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley handed down a 45-year sentence to Larry W. Scott, 36, of Springfield, for the attempted murder of Logan Durbin in Kincaid in September of 2017.

Arrests made in meth delivery case
Two men were arrested and appeared before Fourth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Amanda Ade-Harlow via video conference today in Christian County Court. Eric R. Fortner, 34 and Caleb J. Reber, 35, both of Taylorville, have each been charged with two counts of meth delivery between 100 and 400 grams and possession of meth, between 100 and 400 grams
