TAYLORVILLE — I was intrigued by the graduation tradition of a school not far from here, Lincoln Christian University. The account of their last graduation celebration on May 4, 2019 included this interesting detail: “In continuing with a long-time tradition, each seminary graduate was presented with a towel ‘to wash the feet of the world,’ reminding them of their call to serve.” (courtesy of Lincoln Daily News) According to the custom, each Graduate from the seminary receives a diploma and a towel during the commencement ceremony. The diploma marks the completion of an educational milestone; the towel signifies a lifetime of service to which graduates are committing themselves. Friday, March 5, 2021

Justin Prom writes, “Jesus wants to show us that even the most powerful earthly relationship pales in comparison to the relationship you can have with God. The will of God is not anything grand and mysterious beyond our reach.” Friday, January 29, 2021
